BALTIMORE—Wyndham Hotel Group continued the expansion of its namesake Wyndham Hotels and Resorts brand with the conversion of Hunt Valley Inn – A Wyndham Grand Hotel, located less than 20 miles from downtown Baltimore in Hunt Valley.

The full-service, 392-room hotel and meeting destination, which is completing a $15-million renovation on all guestrooms and public spaces, features more than 30,000 sq. ft. of event space accommodating up to 1,200 people, free shuttle service to nearby locations, on-site dining and close proximity to the area’s major corporations and tourist attractions. The property has been operating as a Wyndham affiliate hotel since May 2013.

“A property like the Hunt Valley Inn that offers extensive meeting space and serves major travel hubs like Baltimore and Washington, DC, is another welcome addition for our growing Wyndham brand,” said Bob Loewen, Wyndham Hotel Group’s EVP and COO. “This property will provide hotel and event guests with revitalized spaces, services and amenities, while also strengthening the brand’s presence in the market.”

Wyndham is focusing efforts on growing its namesake Wyndham brand in top business, vacation and meetings markets in the United States. Since 2013, the brand portfolio has added key properties catering to business and leisure travelers in top travel cities including New York City, Boston, Philadelphia, Dallas, Chicago and Charleston, S.C., as well as Anaheim, San Diego and Santa Monica in California and Miami Beach and Jupiter in Florida.

The extensive, newly renovated event space at Hunt Valley Inn – A Wyndham Grand Hotel includes 18 meeting rooms, a nearly 9,500-sq.-ft. ballroom, audio-visual equipment, high-speed wireless Internet access and on-site catering for social and business events ranging from 12 to 1,200 guests.
