VERONA, NY— Karen Watson has been named manager of the spa and salon at the Oneida Indian Nation’s Turning Stone Resort and Casino here. Watson was formerly assistant spa director at Canyon Ranch in the Berkshires in Lenox, MA. In her new position, she oversees daily operations, supervision and development of treatment options at the resort’s day spa, beauty salon and the fitness center in The Tower at Turning Stone. Additionally, Watson is actively involved in the current renovations of the resort’s day spa and salon and in the development of a destination spa, which is a planned addition to Turning Stone’s amenities. The remodeled day spa is expected to open this fall; temporary spa and salon facilities are operating on the third floor of the Hotel at Turning Stone while work on the permanent location continues. The Oneida Indian Nation’s Turning Stone Resort and Casino is a four-season, destination resort in upstate New York, located about 30 miles east of Syracuse.
