NEW YORK—Originally built in 1926 by William Randolph Hearst as a pied-à-terre for his longtime love Marion Davies and their socialite Hollywood friends, the Warwick New York Hotel has introduced an entirely restyled interior complete with updated guestrooms and a collection of Signature Suites.

Under the direction of Interior Design International’s design director, Stephanie Ellis-Carmody, the refreshed look blends the property’s history with the stylings of modern-day hospitality. Ellis-Carmody transformed the property’s 426 guestrooms, including a collection of 67 suites, with a color palette of gray and champagne tones, and a selection of stately furnishings accented by subtle touches of home.

The guestrooms offer a “home-away-from-home” experience with additions such as fresh in-room flowers and work desks. To complement the new modern touches found throughout the guestrooms, Ellis-Carmody preserves the architectural integrity of the hotel’s original time period and many of the original fixtures were simply given minor cosmetic upgrades.

The five new Signature Suites are individually designed to pay homage to the hotel’s highly storied history as well as today’s cultural landscape. The suites are aptly named The Randolph Suite, The Marion Suite, The Follies Suite, The Jane Suite and The Modern Art Suite. In addition to the full-service conveniences, suites also offer luxe amenities such as Bulgari bath products and robes.

Each of the hotel’s room offerings now fall into six distinct categories—Premier, Premier Plus, Premier Suites, Premier Plus Suites, On The Avenue Suites and Signature Suites. With the new design scheme consistent throughout, each room-type also offers amenities such as separate living spaces, outdoor terraces or 40-in. LCD TVs with interactive multimedia systems.
