PLANTATION, FL—Waramaug LS Hotels, a privately held investment group, has acquired the 156-key limited service hotel here serving a dynamic submarket of Fort Lauderdale. This is Waramaug LS Hotel’s fourth acquisition in the last six months.

Fully renovated in 2011, the Holiday Inn Express is located with accessibility to all the local area’s leading demand drivers and top performing businesses. Commercial businesses and residential areas as well as main thoroughfares such as the Sawgrass Mills Mall, Sawgrass Corporate Park, the BB&T Center and the Fort Lauderdale Airport border the property. Also, adjacent to the hotel is the regional headquarters of Motorola and main offices of American Express, AT&T and Nova Southeastern University are minutes away. The Holiday Inn Express includes meeting space totaling 3,600 square feet.

“Due to the close proximity to major businesses in the area, the property is ideally situated to garner guest traffic and maintain a strong identity as a hub in this vibrant submarket in Florida,” stated Paul Stern, Waramaug’s Co-Founder. “This sets the property apart from others and lends itself well to being a part of our revenue generating strategy.”
