BOCA RATON, FL—Waramaug LS Hotels LLC has acquired the Holiday Inn Express Hauppauge Long Island, in Hauppauge, NY.

Opened in 2001, the seven-story, 133-room hotel recently underwent a comprehensive renovation, upgrading the entire property to latest brand standards. The hotel has an indoor swimming pool, business center, fitness center, sundry shop, complimentary breakfast, free high-speed wireless internet and two meeting rooms.

“The Holiday Inn Express Hauppauge Long Island is well-positioned amidst numerous business, leisure, governmental, medical and educational demand generators, including over 50 million sq. ft. of office space within a five mile radius,” said Paul Stern, principal of Waramaug. “We see significant operational and value upside in this asset, and are again pleased to be working with Interstate Hotels & Resorts, with whom we have success with the Holiday Inn Express brand in several markets nationally.”

The property is located directly off the Long Island Expressway and within the 18-million-sq.-ft. Hauppauge Industrial Park. The Cohalan Court Complex, the heart of Long Island’s government, is located five miles away, along with Touro Law College and Bethpage Park, home of the Long Island Ducks. Also within the hotel’s market area are a number of colleges and medical centers, including SUNY – Stony Brook University, Suffolk County Community College, St. Joseph’s College, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and Stony Brook University Medical Center.
