ORLANDO, FL—Waramaug Hospitality has completed a $4.5 million renovation of the 389-room Sheraton Orlando North.
The work includes all new guestrooms and bathrooms, corridors, club lounge, public spaces and lobby, meeting rooms and conference facilities. The property also upgraded its exterior and landscaping.
Guests may now enjoy the new coffee outlet recently added to the lobby located adjacent to the Sheraton Link, while they stay connected with Microsoft PC terminals and complimentary high-speed Internet.
Guestrooms feature a Sheraton Sweet Sleeper bed, mahogany and walnut furnishings, oversize desk, mini-refrigerator and large LCD flat-panel television.
In conjunction with the renovation, the traditional Irish pub An Tobar, which closed in 2005, was relaunched. An Tobar features a 60-ft., solid-wood bar and three levels of Dublin streetscape decor, all constructed in Ireland and reassembled by Irish craftsmen at the property.
The hotel features 19,000 sq. ft. of flexible meeting space that can accommodate up to 900 persons, and its 7,500-sq.-ft. Grand Galaxy Ballroom features a 15-ft.-high ceiling. Other facilities include a business center, concierge floor with private lounge, Sheraton Fitness and outdoor pool with fountains and Jacuzzi.
“The Sheraton Orlando North hotel bills itself not only as a hotel but as an experience. We’re proud to enhance that experience for our guests and help the staff deliver the ultimate stay in a highly desirable vacation destination. This property measures up strongly to its competitive set and with the renovation, it becomes a clear contender for the guest dollar,” stated Jay Litt, Waramaug Hospitality’s EVP.
