NEW YORK W Hotels has opened its fourth Manhattan property, W New York Union Square, following an extensive conversion of New York s landmark Guardian Life building. The 20-story, 270-room property includes a 3,000-square-foot bar, a 3,100-square-foot restaurant, a lobby lounge area and more than 7,000 square feet of meeting space. The hotel is owned by the Related Companies and designed by Rockwell Group and Brennan Beer Gorman/Architects, in collaboration with Starwood Design Group. (11/27/00)
