LOS ANGELES—Viceroy Hotel Group (VHG) has promoted Jeff Smith, one of the hospitality group’s own senior leaders, to CFO—effective immediately.

Since May 2014, Smith has served as SVP of finance at VHG, overseeing all aspects of corporate and hotel accounting and finance activities, while also managing the brand’s risk, compliance and underwriting functions. In his new role, Smith will continue to lead those areas, in addition to the function of strategic planning and the continued growth of VHG.

Prior to joining VHG, he worked for IHG, holding roles as director of finance and director of FP&A for the Americas region. His responsibilities spanned owned, managed and franchised estates across seven brands and five countries.
