LOS ANGELES The UCLA Extension Hotel Industry Investment Conference in January will be comprised of a number of informative sessions, including The Outlook From The Top, with Roger Cline from Arthur Andersen moderating a panel comprised of Fred Kleisner, Wyndham International; Paul Whetsell, MeriStar Hotels & Resorts; Tom Oliver, Bass Hotels & Resorts and Charles Ledsinger, Choice Hotels International. The conference, to be held at the Westin Century Plaza Hotel & Spa January 16-18, will carry the theme, 2001: The Hotel Odyssey Continues In The New Century And The New Economy. Breakout session topics include a Capital Markets Outlook; Public Companies Strategies; Mexico and Central America; E-business; Development and Redevelopment; Outsourcing Food and Beverage; and the Environment and Hotels. Other sessions focus on Private Capital; Adaptive Re-Use Hotel Development; Resort Development; Wall Street; and Asia. The conference will also feature a roundtable with leading industry financial leaders who will forecast where funding will come from in the future, as well as the impact of the dot-com industry on hotel financing.
