WALLA WALLA, WA—The Marcus Whitman Hotel & Conference Center has renovated its historic tower to accommodate six new premium guest rooms. Located in the heart of Washington’s Wine Country and anchoring downtown Walla Walla, the Marcus Whitman Hotel has been a city landmark and storied gathering place for the community and visitors alike since 1928.
Guests can now stay in any of the six new guestrooms, which include a combination of Executive Tower King Rooms, Spa Suites and Standard Suites. Featuring Italian furniture and new linens made by 1888 Mills in each room, the new rooms join the property’s existing 127 rooms between the historic tower and west wing, bringing the hotel to a total of 133 rooms. In addition, The Marcus Whitman Hotel is home to seven onsite tasting rooms; the Marc Restaurant; the Vineyard Lounge, which features a wine list of more than 270 wine labels; and a conference center featuring more than 13,000 sq. ft. of ballrooms and conferences spaces.
The Walla Walla Valley is home to more than 1,800 acres of grapes, 100 world-class wineries and delicious epicurean fare, and continues to assert its position as a world-class wine region and popular tourist destination. The tallest building in Walla Walla, The Marcus Whitman Hotel is within walking distance to area tasting rooms as well as a short drive to world-renowned wineries.
“Over the last decade, Walla Walla has become an increasingly popular vacation destination for wine lovers and has been drawing crowds from all over the country,” said Kyle Mussman, general manager and owner of The Marcus Whitman Hotel. “In response, we’ve renovated the eighth floor of our historic hotel from residential space to guestrooms, offering unobstructed views of the Valley and picturesque downtown Walla Walla.”
