COLLEGE PARK, MD—The Hotel at the University of Maryland, a new luxury hotel and conference center located at the entrance to the University of Maryland here, is now accepting reservations for its summer opening.
The 10-story hotel has 297 guestrooms, with standard guestrooms at 450 sq. ft. In addition, there are 21 studio suites, five one-bedroom suites and three signature suites. There are 10 separate event spaces on site, plus a rooftop venue and outdoor terrace.
Old Maryland Grill is one of four restaurants on site. Others include Bagels ’n Grinds and Potomac Pizza, two franchises by Adam Greenberg, whose wife is a graduate of the university, and Kapnos Taverna. There is also a 150-seat lobby bar.
The Red Door Salon & Spa by Elizabeth Arden will open on the hotel’s fourth floor, which also houses a fitness center, pool and open-air zen garden terrace.
