MEMPHIS, TN—Graceland’s new resort hotel, The Guest House at Graceland, is on schedule to open in late October, with 90% of construction now completed on the structure, according to the company.
Inspired by Elvis Presley and the Graceland Mansion, the $92-million luxury resort will open on October 27, with a sold-out grand opening celebration weekend featuring Elvis’ family and friends, as well as visitors from around the world.
As thousands of visitors gather this week at Graceland for the beginning of its annual Elvis Week celebration, construction at The Guest House is in its final 11 weeks. Guest House senior management, led by VP and Managing Director Keith Hess, are nearly all in place, and approximately 200 staff positions are now in the process of being filled, according to the company.
“This resort will be an extraordinary, one-of-a-kind experience for anyone visiting Memphis,” said Hess. “We’ve been thrilled at the incredible response so far—not only from Elvis fans, but leisure travelers, tour groups, international visitors, and business and corporate clients. It’s clear that this hotel will be a tremendous success and we can’t wait to open in October.”
The Guest House at Graceland, situated steps away from Graceland Mansion, is inspired by his home. Every aspect of the hotel will reflect Elvis’ personal style and the character of his Memphis, TN, mansion, from the colonial exterior to the 20 specialty suites with designs supervised by Priscilla Presley.
