COLORADO SPRINGS, CO—Industry veteran Jack Damioli is joining The Broadmoor in January in the newly created position of VP/Managing Director.

Damioli will report directly to President/CEO Steve Bartolin and will oversee The Broadmoor’s sales, marketing and conferences, human resources, food and beverage, engineering, golf, retail and loss prevention departments.

“The Broadmoor is at a very exciting time in its history,” stated Bartolin. “We continue to add new facilities, amenities and business with even more on the horizon.”

Damioli comes to The Broadmoor from Gasparilla Inn and Golf Club in Boca Grande, FL, where he has was president/general manager for the past seven years. Prior to that, Damioli served 22 years at The Greenbrier, working in various departments and managerial capacities, including golf, front desk, conference services, resident manager, director of operations and six years as general manager.

“I would not bring anyone into our organization in this type of leadership capacity unless I had the utmost confidence in them,” Bartolin continued. “I had an opportunity to work directly with Jack for four years at The Greenbrier from 1987 to 1991 and followed his successes and professional development over the course of his career. Jack Damioli is one of the top professionals in our industry. His experience is especially relevant because he understands the unique challenges of operating a historic property similar size and scope to The Broadmoor. Having him join our team will give us additional strength as we continue to grow and evolve.”

The Broadmoor encompasses 3,000 acres, 779 rooms and suites and includes three championship golf courses, a Forbes Five-Star spa and fitness center, nationally recognized tennis staff and program, 26 retail boutiques and 19 restaurants, cafés and lounges including Colorado’s only Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five-Diamond restaurant, Penrose Room.

The Broadmoor is a member of Preferred Hotels and Resorts and Historic Hotels of America.
