ROCKVILLE, MD— Sunburst Hospitality is now converting its Atrium Court Hotel here into a Crowne Plaza. The conversion should be finished by this summer and involves a $6-million renovation. The 150-room, three-story atrium property will be known as the Crowne Plaza Rockville. Sunburst also manages the asset. The hotel’s renovations incorporated a business service center, upscale room amenities, a 3,700-square-foot terrace, high-speed Internet access, wireless Internet access in common areas, a 2,000-square-foot fitness and health center and a restaurant and lounge. The hotel will also be 100% smoke-free and feature the Crowne Plaza Sleep Advantage program that focuses on the guest’s sleeping experience. There is also more than 13,000 square feet of meeting space at the hotel.
