Starwood To Manage Sheraton In Spain

WHITE PLAINS, NY Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide and Abandoibarra Tercermilenio S.L have entered into a long-term management agreement under which Starwood will operate the soon-to-be-built 215-room Sheraton Hotel, Bilbao, Spain.

Construction will begin this month on the hotel, which is scheduled to open mid-year 2002. Total construction costs (excluding site acquisition) is expected to be in excess of $25 million.

The hotel will feature Sheraton s new guestroom design and will have a restaurant and bar, a ballroom and meeting rooms, underground parking, a swimming pool and health club. (9/12/00)
