STAMFORD, CT—Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. and Jia Peng Co., Ltd. has opened the Four Points by Sheraton Penghu, marking the first internationally branded hotel in Magong City, Penghu Island and the second Four Points hotel in Taiwan.
Strategically located in Magong City— the largest city in Penghu— the hotel is a short distance from various shopping, dining and entertainment venues. In addition, the Magong International Airport is a 15-minute drive.
“Having recently crossed the 200th hotel milestone, we’re continuing the Four Points brand’s bullish expansion in diverse and dynamic markets across the globe,” said Vincent Ong, senior brand director, Asia Pacific Brand Management, Starwood Hotels & Resorts. “The opening of Four Points by Sheraton Penghu underscores the brand’s strong growth in Greater China with 23 operating hotels and more than 30 hotels in pipeline throughout the country.”
The 308-room hotel features 23 suites with private balconies, the brand’s signature bed, 48-in. flat screen TV, rainforest shower, complimentary bottled water and WiFi throughout the hotel.
Dining options include The Eatery, the brand’s signature restaurant, offering a range of international cuisines, and China Spice, serving Taiwanese dishes. At Apatite lobby lounge, local brews are served as part of the signature Best Brews program and there’s live music at the lower level Swave bar.
Additional amenities include a zero-edge swimming pool overlooking Magong Harbor; state-of-the-art fitness center with sauna; an expansive and pillar-less ballroom and several multifunction rooms.
