MEMPHIS—The Southern Lodging Summit will host its 12th annual conference here from August 19-20.
The day-and-a-half conference will begin with Southern Lodging Summit’s annual luncheon at Rendezvous BBQ Restaurant, providing attendees the opportunity to network.
“The Southern Lodging Summit allows those interested in the hospitality industry the opportunity to gather and share best practices while simultaneously networking with some of the most respected names in the business,” stated Chuck Pinkowski, owner of Pinkowsky & Company, based here, and co-founder of the conference.
Later in the day on August 19, participants will attend an evening cocktail reception and dinner at Peabody Hotel, an event that supports the Political Action Committees for the Metropolitan Memphis Hotel & Lodging Association (MMH&LA) and the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA).
On August 20, after a continental breakfast at the Memphis Cook Convention Center, the conference will begin with Vanessa Sinders, SVP/department head of government affairs for AH&LA, sharing the organization’s latest legislative update. Following Sinders, Randy Smith from STR, Inc. will provide an overview of the hospitality industry at national and regional market levels.
The conference draws owners, operators, sales executives, financial institutions, architects, attorneys and hotel company representatives who target the southern and mid-south region of the U.S. for development and operations.
