WILLIAMSBURG, VA—SoTHERLY Hotels Inc., a lodging REIT based here, promoted Scott Kucinski to VP of operations and investor relations
Kucinski will help oversee the company’s corporate operations activities including capital markets transactions, acquisitions and dispositions, asset management and investor relations and compliance matters.
Kucinski joined the company in 2004 and has served in a variety of roles, including director of construction services and, most recently, director of investor relations.
Drew Sims, chairman/CEO of SoTHERLY Hotels, Inc., said in a statement, “Scott began his career with the company during our IPO process and has been instrumental in the execution of our business plan since that time, achieving success in his managerial and transactional endeavors. Scott is a valued member of our leadership team and we look forward to his continued contributions to SoTHERLY.”
SoTHERLY Hotels Inc. also hired David Surette as corporate controller. Surette will help manage the company’s financial reporting and corporate accounting functions. Surette previously served as senior accountant for Landmark Apartment Trust, where he was primarily responsible for SEC reporting.
