LOS ANGELES— The Sofitel Los Angeles is about to undergo a $35-million renovation project here that is expected to be complete by spring 2006. Designers Cheryl Rowley and Yabu Pushelberg have been hired for the project. Chef Kerry Simon and nightlife pioneer Rande Gerber have also been selected to help transform the hotel into a high-style, elegant and luxurious property. Upon the renovation’s completion, all guestrooms will feature 32-inch plasma televisions and laptop connections. Guestroom bathrooms will feature oversized and enclosed rain showers with Switchlite glass panels.
