Sloan Valve Co. Introduces Solar-Powered Faucet

FRANKLIN PARK, IL–– Sloan Valve Company has introduced Solis, an electronic, solar-powered faucet that operates via ambient lighting. The faucet profides an alternative for architects, designers engineers and building owners that are looking for energy and water-conserving fixtures, according to the company. The European-style Solis features an integrated power plant storage cell that can translate light from any source into electric energy as well as batteries that provide back-up energy. It includes an integral temperature control, an aerator to regulate water flow and an electronic sensor that turns the water off and on automatically. The faucet comes in a chrome finish with optional trim plates available, according to the company.
