HANGZHOU, CHINA—Sheraton Hotels & Resorts, part of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc., has opened Sheraton Grand Hangzhou Binjiang Hotel, located in the business district here. Owned by China Yintai Holdings Co., Ltd, the hotel is the first new-build property to join the brand’s premier tier of hotels.

“With all eyes on Hangzhou this year as the host of the 2016 G20 summit, China continues to be an extremely important growth market for Sheraton,” said Vincent Ong, senior brand director, Asia Pacific Brand Management, Starwood Hotels & Resorts. “Sheraton Grand Hangzhou Binjiang Hotel is a true representation of our Sheraton Grand tier and a valued asset to the portfolio.”

The new hotel offers 301 guestrooms and suites. Each guestroom features all of the brand’s signature amenities and services, including a premium sleep experience, rain shower and luxurious bath amenities, according to the brand. Other facilities at the hotel include the Sheraton Fitness Centre with Technogym weight-lifting equipment and on-duty fitness coaches, as well as an indoor heated swimming pool.

The hotel offers a wide variety of international dining experiences, including Yue Chinese restaurant, which serves contemporary Cantonese, spicy Sichuan and local Hangzhou cuisines; Feast, the brand’s signature restaurant in an open kitchen; and lobby lounge, which features modern decor and provides a large selection of single malts and cocktails, as well as traditional tea.
