HONG KONG—Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts is set to open its fourth hotel in the city on Kowloon’s waterfront with views of Victoria Harbor and the Hong Kong Island skyline. The 545-room Kerry Hotel is scheduled to open this December.
The 16-story waterfront building is located in Kowloon at Hung Hom Bay. The design of the building’s podium provides visitors with indoor/outdoor space and views. Over 60% of the guestrooms feature harbor views, with rooms ranging from 452 sq. ft. for a deluxe city view room to 3,165 sq. ft. for the rooftop suite.
The hotel has five restaurants and bars, including a food marketplace.
Other public spaces include an 18,901-sq.-ft. grand ballroom that seats 1,030 people banquet style, 17 flexible meeting venues that can accommodate from 30 to 660 people, an outdoor swimming pool, a 24-hour fitness center, indoor and outdoor event space and retail shops.
The hotel will begin taking room reservations in September and is slated to open in Dec. 2016.
