OMAHA, NE—The DoubleTree by Hilton Omaha Southwest, a five-story, 179-room hotel located near the area’s key business and leisure destinations, has opened here. Formerly an Executive Suites, the hotel reopens following a multimillion-dollar refurbishment that includes design updates throughout the lobby and public areas; new furniture and decor throughout guestrooms; and a new restaurant addition set to open this summer. DoubleTree by Hilton Omaha Southwest is owned by 72nd Street Hospitality, LLC and managed by O’Reilly Hospitality Management, LLC.

“The opening of DoubleTree by Hilton Omaha Southwest marks the second hotel for our fast-growing brand in the Omaha area,” said John Greenleaf, global head, DoubleTree by Hilton. “With its dramatic transformation, this hotel makes the perfect addition to our global portfolio.”

The hotel’s sleek look is underscored by gray and teal color schemes, dark wood accents and custom artwork throughout the lobby, public areas and guest rooms, including 30 suites, according to the brand.

All-day dining is available in the hotel’s ballroom, as well as room service. As part of its ongoing transformation, this summer, the hotel will introduce Vida Grill, located just off the main lobby. The restaurant will be open for all-day dining, and offers American and Tex-Mex dishes and a fresh guacamole station. A new 24-hour market will also be introduced.

The property also features more than 28,000 sq. ft. of flexible meeting space, including a 442-sq.-ft. boardroom. Complimentary amenities include free WiFi throughout the hotel’s public areas and guestrooms; a 24-hour fitness center; a 24-hour business center; an indoor pool and hot tub; and an outdoor pool deck. The hotel also offers complimentary on-site parking and shuttle service within a three-mile radius between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

“From an amazing new design, to a revamped meetings and event offering and soon-to-open restaurant addition, we are thrilled to debut our hotel’s stunning transformation and look forward to delivering the little things that truly make DoubleTree by Hilton Omaha Southwest a unique and memorable travel experience for each guest,” said Travis Kuhlmah, general manager, DoubleTree by Hilton Omaha Southwest.

Located 10 miles from Eppley Airport and just off I-80 and 72nd St., the hotel is convenient to the city’s most popular destinations, including Ralston Arena; the soon-to-open UNO Arena; dining, shopping and entertainment at the Aksarben Village; Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium; and the cobbled streets of The Old Market. The hotel is situated blocks from key businesses, including Travel and Transport and Blue Cross Blue Shield, and a short drive to two of the city’s biggest businesses—the Century Link Center and Ameritrade Park, home of the NCAA Baseball World Series.
