HENDERSONVILLE, TN— RevPAR growth for the week ending Oct. 1 in San Francisco, Oahu, and Atlanta outpaced RevPAR gains in the U.S. as a whole, according to Smith Travel Research. San Francisco saw RevPAR growth jump 38.7%, compared to the same week in 2004, while gains registered by Oahu and Atlanta were 25.7% and 22.6%, respectively. Overall, U.S. RevPAR for the week was up 8.1%. As in previous weeks this year, the gains in RevPAR were attributable more to increases in rate than occupancy. Rate for the week was up 5.2%, year over year, while occupancy increased 2.9%.
