SAN DIEGO— Country Inns & Suites By Carlson, part of Carlson Hotels Worldwide, announced that the 180-room hotel located at 5975 Lusk Blvd. has been rebranded as the new Country Inn & Suites By Carlson-San Diego North. The conversion of the former Prime hotel is part of an agreement between Hospitality Properties Trust— a hotel industry real estate investment trust— and Carlson Hotels Worldwide, which operates nearly 900 locations in 69 countries under five different brands. Following the conversion process, the hotel will feature the brands icons, including residential architecture and home-like interior design with highlights that include hardwood flooring, lobby fireplace and front porch.
