Sam Houston Hotel To Be Rebranded The Alden

HOUSTON— The Sam Houston Hotel is being rebranded The Alden, the first of a new luxury chain being run by Tim Smith, formerly of Morgans Hotel Group. The 97-room property, a historic renovation in downtown Houston, had been managed as an independent by owner-investor Barbara Smith.
