KEY BISCAYNE, FL— Christopher Hamaway, director of sales and marketing for The Ritz-Carlton, Key Biscayne, was named the top sales performer worldwide for The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Co. Hamaway achieved 316% of his 2004 sales goal, making him the number one performer among the global Ritz-Carlton sales team, according to Marco Selva, general manger of the Key Biscayne hotel. The annual competition, titled “Key to Success,” awards the top salesperson the keys to a brand new Mercedes-Benz sedan. Hamaway began his career with Ritz-Carlton in 2000 as area director of leisure and business travel for the Ritz-Carlton hotels of Miami. Prior to that he was director of leisure sales and marketing for Sun International Resorts and in other experience he was general manager of Certified Vacations, a private travel company.
