Richter Named GM At Regent Bal Harbour

BAL HARBOUR, FL— Guenter H. Richter has been appointed general manager of the Regent Bal Harbour. The new 124-room hotel is scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2007 in the Village of Bal Harbour, located on the most northern tip of Miami Beach. The $225-million beachfront project will feature a 17-story hotel and 26-story residential condominium tower. Richter has many years of hotel management experience. He has held positions at New York’s Waldorf=Astoria, The Stanhope and Swissôtel New York; the Palmer House in Chicago; the Bel-Air Hotel in Los Angeles and the Mansion on Turtle Creek in Dallas. Additionally, he served as vp/managing director for Grand Bay Hotels & Resorts and Rosewood Hotels & Resorts. Most recently he was managing director of the St. Regis in New York City.
