FRENCH LICK, IN— French Lick Resort Casino will host a VIP ribbon cutting celebration here tomorrow. The ribbon cutting will occur at 9:30 am at the main entrance to the new casino, which will formally open to the public this Friday, Nov. 3, pending Indiana Gaming Commission approval. The opening of French Lick Resort Casino signals a major milestone in the $382-million resort restoration and casino development project. The property includes the West Baden Springs Resort, which is being restored as part of the project and is expected to reopen in the spring of 2007. French Lick Resort Casino includes the French Lick Springs Hotel, the new French Lick Casino and the West Baden Springs Hotel. Upon completion, the resort and casino destination will feature 684 guestrooms and suites; an 84,000-square-foot casino with a 42,000-square-foot, single-level gaming floor; 45 holes of golf; two full-service spas; and an array of dining and entertainment options. Benchmark Hospitality International is the operator of the resort.
