ORLANDO, FL—The Residence Inn Universal Studios, located at 5616 Major Blvd., has broke ground here. LBA Hospitality manages the 196-room hotel, which is slated to open in 2017.

Designed by Ponder & Ponder Architects, the new hotel expands the relationship between Southeastern Development Associates and LBA Hospitality.

“LBA looks forward to bringing our tradition of exceptional guest service to this thriving vacation destination,” said Beau Benton, president of LBA Hospitality.

Upon completion, the hotel will include amenities such as an outdoor pool, fitness center, guest laundry, sports court, business center, large outdoor patio with grills and free breakfast daily. The location will be accessible to area shops and restaurants, including Walt Disney World, the Orlando International Airport and Orange County Convention Center.
