OCEANSIDE, CA—Residence Inn San Diego Oceanside has embarked on a $2-million renovation project of its guest suites and public spaces. The project is expected to complete by Feb. 28, 2015.

To create a more open and inviting space in the lobby, the hotel will be tearing down one of the existing walls and adding comfortable seating and communal tables, according to the hotel. Flat-panel TVs and free WiFi will also be featured.

Aspects of the guestroom renovation will include a contemporary color scheme, new carpet, freshly upholstered furniture and new bedding.

In addition, the fitness center and 571-sq.-ft. meeting room will be refreshed with new carpet and vinyl. New pool furniture will be added as well.
