Red Lion Names Veteran Greg Mount to President/CEO Post

SPOKANE, WA—Red Lion Corporation has ended its ongoing CEO search with the hiring of industry veteran Greg Mount.

Mount—who has been president of Richfield Hospitality since 2009—will take over the reins of the company from interim president and CEO James Evans, who took the temporary post in August following the departure of president and CEO Jon Eliassen and spearheaded the company’s search.

In addition to last the four-plus years with Richfield Hospitality, a management company, Mount’s more than 25 years of hospitality experience includes stints with branded hotel companies as well. He worked with Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide—where he led the full-service division responsible for developing franchises and management contracts for several brands—and he previously worked his way up at Marriott International to the position of director of operations before holding various general manager positions. Mount also spent time with management giant Interstate Hotels Corporation and management firm Sage Hospitality.

Mount, who will report to the company’s board of directors, will relocate to its headquarters here and  will begin in his new position on Jan. 27.
