NEW YORK— Radisson SAS Hotels & Resorts has invested nearly $36 million in renovation and refurbishment projects over the past year, with a further $8 million set aside for further hotel upgrades. To go back, since November 2001 about 15 Radisson SAS properties across Europe, the Middle East and the Far East have undergone improvements. Projects have included a new lobby, lobby bar and reception area at the Radisson SAS Hotel Beijing; a complete refit for the historic Radisson SAS Schwarzer Bock Hotel in Wiesbaden, Germany; and the addition of 108 guest rooms at the Radisson SAS Royal Viking Hotel in Stockholm. The organization has also made a multimillion dollar investment in the renovation of guest rooms at four Radisson SAS properties in Norway, the Radisson SAS Park Hotel in Oslo, the Radisson SAS Hotel Norge in Bergen, Kristiansands Radisson SAS Caledonien Hotel and the Radisson SAS Royal Hotel in Stavanger, while almost $1 million is being invested in upgraded conference and meeting facilities at the Radisson SAS Scandinavia and Falconer Hotels in Copenhagen.
