MINNEAPOLIS—Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group has unveiled the expansion of Radisson Blu in Latin America with three hotels; Radisson Blu Santiago, La Dehesa in Chile, as well as Radisson Blu San Andrés Resort & Spa and Radisson Blu ar Santa Marta Resort & Spa in Colombia.
“Radisson Blu has a global presence with over 280 hotels in operation throughout the world and we see great potential for the brand in Latin America,” stated Javier Rosenberg, COO, Americas, Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group. “Carlson Rezidor already has a strong footprint with over 50 hotels in operation and under development in Latin America and a leading position in Brazil and Chile and now in Colombia with the addition of these hotels.”
Radisson Petra La Dehesa Hotel will undergo a transformation and become Radisson Blu Santiago, La Dehesa by the first quarter of 2016. The transformation will include enhancements to the guest rooms, public areas and food and beverage outlets. The 105-room hotel offers a mix of guest rooms and suites.
Radisson Blu San Andrés Resort & Spa is a new-build hotel located on the Caribbean island of San Andrés. The beachfront hotel is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2016 and will be a boutique resort with 77 suites. The resort will offer two restaurants, several bars including a pool bar and large terrace bar overlooking the beach, a full-service spa and fitness center.
Radisson Blu ar Santa Marta Resort & Spa located in Santa Marta, Colombia is also a new-build hotel and will open in 2017. The 190-room resort will offer two restaurants, one poolside and a themed restaurant and bar on the rooftop terrace. The resort will offer 17,000 square feet of meeting space, a full-service spa and fitness facilities making it a great destination for business and leisure travellers alike.
