MINNEAPOLIS? Radisson Hotels Worldwide announced that the Scranton Cultural Center at the Masonic Temple in Scranton, PA has been selected as the recipient of the company?s second quarter 1999 ?Partnering with the Arts? grant of $10,000. The Scranton Cultural Center was selected for its commitment to providing quality artists and diversified cultural experiences for the many audiences it serves, according to Radisson. ?The Cultural Center is an integral part of Scranton and complements the outstanding restoration of the Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel,? said Jody Reibeling, general manager of the Scranton property. ?The center responds to the community?s needs and interests through the promotion of educational, cultural and advocational opportunities,? she added. Radisson?s Partnering with the Arts program was created in 1996 as a global marketing and community service initiative designed to encourage the promotion of cultural travel opportunities worldwide through the formation of marketing partnerships between its more than 385 hotels and cultural organizations. Each quarter, Radisson hotels nominate an arts organization for the $10,000 grant. Hotels must be accredited in the program by donating at least $1,000 annually to a local arts organization and provide a detailed description of their collaborative efforts.
