ARLINGTON, TX—Q Hotels is set to develop and operate a dual-branded Marriott hotel property here located at 3800 S. Collins Rd.

Construction will begin on the combined SpringHill Suites & TownePlace Suites in December with a projected completion in the summer of 2018.

“Q Hotels is pleased to bring compelling, new lodging options to south Arlington and to deliver a unique offering of full service hotel amenities at select-service price points,” said Q Hotels Chairman Jags Patel. “By combining two brands into one efficient building, this all-suite property will be able to offer exceptional amenities of approximately 18,000 sq. ft. of meeting and event space, a resort style pool with cabanas, free breakfast, a business center, a lobby bar, banquet services, room service and more.”

Marriott’s all-suites brands will be combined in one building with 230 total units in Q Hotel’s new project. SpringHill Suites will include 130 suites and TownePlace Suites will offer 100 suites.

Q Hotels’ strategy of designing, constructing and operating dual brands in one building equips this property to penetrate both business and leisure market segments, according to the company.

The dual-brand property will have a central check-in lobby and shared “back of house” systems, as well as shared amenities such as event lawn and amphitheater-style entertaining space, expansive ballroom, fitness area, steam room, dry sauna and restaurants.

The 7.4 acre site is located at the geographic center of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, surrounded by the communities of southern Tarrant County. The area is in close proximity to numerous large employers and features six million sq. ft. of operating retail within one mile of the property including the Arlington Highlands Lifestyle Center.
