DANIA BEACH, FL—Plum has launched Plum for Hotels, a system designed to allow hotels to offer in-room wine by the glass on-demand. Plum for Hotels integrates with PMSs to automatically bill the guest folio, virtualize amenity programs, provide instant services recovery, and track revenue and profitability.
Plum automates wine by the glass, potentially creating a new revenue stream. Food and beverage directors have the opportunity to select two bottles of wine that they feel best appeal to guest preferences and can set the price per glass. With each glass poured, Plum automatically tracks the sale, bills the guest’s folio and notifies housekeeping when it is time to replace an empty bottle. Plum’s web and mobile apps let general managers and key stakeholders track revenue and profit in real time.
Plum’s integrated touchscreen and audio enables hoteliers to deliver personalized service to each guest. Hoteliers can recognize and reward guest loyalty, celebrate a birthday or anniversary, and instantly send an amenity at the touch of a button.
Capable of housing two standard 750ml bottles, Plum can pierce natural cork, artificial cork, engineered cork and metal screw caps—and preserve each bottle for 90 days, according to the company.
