FAIRFAX, VA—Playa Hotels & Resorts B.V. appointed Kevin Froemming to the newly created position of EVP & Chief Marketing Officer for Playa Resorts Management.

Previously Froemming was president of Unique Vacations, the worldwide representatives of Sandals & Beaches Resorts. The announcement follows Playa’s recent agreement with an affiliate of Hyatt Hotels to own and manage Hyatt’s two new all-inclusive brands: Hyatt Ziva and Hyatt Zilara, throughout Mexico and the Caribbean. Playa also recently acquired Real Resorts.

“Kevin brings expertise and demonstrated success in building profitable upscale brands in the highly competitive and fast growing all-inclusive resort market,” stated Bruce Wardinski, CEO of Playa Hotels & Resorts B.V. “Kevin’s extensive experience in global marketing, distribution, branding and new technology will be critical to Playa’s growing portfolio.”

Froemming will work in conjunction with Playa Resorts Management’s CEO, Alex Stadlin. Froemming brings more than 20 years of experience in marketing, sales, technology and customer support operations to this new position. Prior to his 10-year tenure as president of Unique Vacations, he rose to the position of COO of The Mark Travel Corporation’s owned brands.
