INTERNATIONAL REPORT—Hotels are on the horizon around the globe, including Planet Hollywood’s first foray into the all-inclusive resort realm.

Planet Hollywood to Open First-Ever All-Inclusive Resort

Planet Hollywood will open its first all-inclusive resort with the debut of Planet Hollywood Beach Resort in October on the Gulf of Papagay in Costa Rica’s Guanacaste province.

A hillside property, the resort takes advantage of its natural setting with a design based on the understanding of the local environment and, as a result, a balance between construction and nature was achieved to blend the two in an organic way, the company reports.

The resort will have 294 luxury suites, each complete with Phabulous Beds, a handcrafted custom mattress with bedding developed exclusively for Planet Hollywood guests. Dining options include a Guy Fieri’s Burger Joint. The property will also be home to Pumped Fitness Center, PH Spa & Beauty Bar, featuring the celebrity approved Eminence Organic Skin Care line, a PH Shop, two pools, a hot tub and Point Break—the sequel pool bar.

An array of signature brand offerings will be available, including the Your Soundtrack music program where guests can choose a music theme to create the soundtrack of their vacation. Other brand offerings include the Main Event Guarantee, allowing guests to catch all major events in real time and Plugged In, providing guests with unlimited high speed WiFi resort wide.

One&Only Desaru Coast To Debut In Malaysia

Kerzner International Holdings Limited, the owner of the ultra-luxury One&Only Resorts and Atlantis Resort & Residences brands worldwide is opening One&Only Desaru Coast in Malaysia.

The 128-acre beachfront development will include 42 suites, 2 luxury suites and an exclusive 4-bedroom villa, as well as approximately 50 One&Only Private Homes available for purchase. This will be the first One&Only in Malaysia as part of the expanding One&Only collection.

Inspired by the azure ocean waters and lush tropical landscape, the resort will provide modern Malaysian elegance, showcasing the incredible natural elements of the region, according to the company. It is being designed by architectural firm, Kerry Hill Architects.

Nordisk Village Goto Islands Glamping Facility Coming in September

Nordisk Village Goto Islands, Japanese hotelier Fujita Kanko’s glamping facility, will open in September on the Goto Islands in the southern part of Japan.

Nordisk Village Goto Islands is built on a closed elementary school site, a five-minute walk from Tao beach. The wooden school building has been renovated to function as a check-in area, café and restaurant, and accommodation. There will be 10 Nordisk tents around the former school ground, each furnished with two to four beds. Other facilities will include a communal kitchen.
