INTERNATIONAL REPORT—Big brands are making moves in the industry. Here’s more on the recent personnel appointments from Radisson, IHG, Choice and Wynn Resorts:
IHG Appoints Two to Support European Development
International Hotels Group is reinforcing its development presence in Europe with new hires:
- Josh Littman joins IHG as head of luxury development, Europe, responsible for overseeing development opportunities for IHG’s luxury brand portfolio in Europe.
- Jon Colley has been appointed as IHG’s head of development, U.K. and Ireland, responsible for accelerating growth in this key market.
Littman brings extensive experience in hotel development and the luxury hotel sector. He began his career in operations, sales and marketing for Mandarin Oriental Hotels before working with Kerzner International’s Atlantis and One & Only brands. Prior to joining IHG, Littman was VP and head of development, EMEA, Hard Rock Hotels & Casinos.
Colley joins the business with experience in hotel development and investment. He began his career in banking, working for Barclays as relationship manager on the leisure team, before joining the Royal Bank of Scotland as business development director of hotels. Colley then spent five years at Hilton Hotels & Resorts as development director, U.K. and Ireland, before joining International Hotel Group as CIO before becoming CEO.
Radisson Appoints VP of IT Service Management
Radisson Hotel Group has appointed James “Jamie” Pawlikowski as VP of IT service management. In this newly created role, he will be responsible for supporting business operations and continuously improving the service performance of Radisson Hotel Group’s current and future platforms.
Pawlikowski will also lead the service management team and oversee global test strategy and planning, service testing, operation and performance and issue management. He joins the company from Home Depot where he was the head of IT service management for IT operations. During his time at Home Depot, Pawlikowski oversaw a team of service delivery leaders for the company’s technology organization.
Choice Names Maureen Sullivan to Board of Directors
Choice Hotels International has elected Maureen Sullivan to its board of directors. Sullivan, COO of Rent the Runway and a former AOL and Google executive, brings relevant experience to the Choice board, including business, innovation, branding, digital, engineering and e-commerce expertise.
As COO at Rent the Runway, Sullivan is responsible for accelerating growth across all areas of the business, and manages the customer experience, marketing, communications, user experience, creative, business development and retail functions.
Wynn Resorts Names Chairman of the Board
Wynn Resorts Limited’s board of directors, at a regular meeting, unanimously voted Philip G. Satre chairman of the board. Satre, an independent director who joined the board in August as vice chairman, succeeds D. Boone Wayson who is retiring from the board. The board is now comprised of 10 directors, six of whom joined the board in 2018, and four of whom are women.
Satre is president of the National Center for Responsible Gaming. He has decades of leadership roles in the gaming industry, including as chairman/CEO of Harrah’s Entertainment Inc. He has also served as chairman of the board of International Game Technology PLC, Nordstrom Inc. and NV Energy Inc. and has served as a director of Tabcorp Holdings Ltd. and Rite Aid Corporation.
