DALLAS and SAN FRANCISCO- Dallas-based Pegasus Solutions announced it will be “powering” Hotwires online hotel reservation capabilities, providing leisure travelers with the ability to make room reservations at thousands of properties via the new travel website www.hotwire.com.
Formed by the Texas Pacific Group with investments from six major U.S.-based airline carriers, Hotwire enables consumers to obtain the best-negotiated prices for airline tickets, hotels and rental cars and plans to launch its online hotel booking capabilities in fourth quarter of this year.
Under its agreement with Hotwire, Pegasus joins Eland Technologies, Sabre and Scient on the technology team assembled by Hotwire. (10/11/00)
