Pearson Named GM-Marketing, Peninsula Group

HONG KONG Simon Pearson has been named general manager/marketing for The Peninsula Group of hotels, which is owned and operated by Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels, Ltd. He is responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies and will bring an international perspective to this role [to]benefit the Group in the next phase of its development, according to CEO Pierre Boppe. Pearson previously served as vp-sales and marketing/Middle East-Africa for Bass Hotels & Resorts. (9/18/00)
