ORLANDO- The Peabody Hotel Group appointed Gregg Nelson as the new general manager for the Arkansas Excelsior Hotel, which will be reflagged The Peabody Little Rock in the fall of 2001. Alan Villaverde, vp/operations for the Little Rock property, and vp/general manager for The Peabody Orlando made the announcement on behalf of Peabody Hotel Group. Nelson has 25 years of experience, working for the Stouffer and Renaissance hotel brands, as well as for Westin Hotels. (11/7/00)
