NATIONAL REPORT—Hotels are opening and in the works across the East Coast. An opening in NYC and a resort development in Florida are just some of the recent developments:
Park Terrace Hotel Opens Overlooking Bryant Park
Bryant Park has a new neighbor: the Park Terrace Hotel has opened. The newly built addition to the NYC skyline is located off Fifth Ave. and faces Bryant Park.
The hotel has upscale design by Stonehill Taylor with a nature-inspired color palette throughout. There are 226 guestrooms, lounge and terrace, gym, sauna and four meeting rooms. Coming summer 2019 will be La Pecora Bianca, offering a relaxed, all-day dining experience with Italian fare.
Boutique Virginia Property Offers Dining Options, Rooftop Views
Hotel Weyanoke, the newest boutique property within the Cornerstone Hospitality management company, has opened in Farmville, VA. Since its recent opening, the 70-room boutique property has four food and beverage outlets—two restaurants, a coffee shop and a panoramic rooftop bar.
Homewood Suites by Hilton to Come to Providence, RI
Joint venture partners First Bristol Corporation and Paolino Properties are nearing completion of a $30-million Homewood Suites by Hilton “All-Suites” Hotel in downtown Providence, RI.
Working together, First Bristol and Paolino Properties were able to purchase property acquired from the Providence Redevelopment Agency. The six-story, 120-room property, vacant for 15 years, was necessary to make the project viable. The hotel is expected to be completed in early 2019.
The hotel will have an on-site parking garage, a meeting room for up to 100 people, a fitness center, dining room with complimentary breakfast and 120 suites, all with fully equipped kitchens.
Margaritaville Resort is in the Works in Florida
Margaritaville Resort Orlando, the vacation and residential destination in Kissimmee, FL, is open for reservations for stays beginning January 2019.
The mega resort destination, being developed by Encore Capital Management, spans more than 300 acres and includes four main components: Margaritaville Hotel, Margaritaville Cottages, Sunset Walk shopping, dining and entertainment district and Island H2O Live! Waterpark.
The 184-room Margaritaville Hotel will have four dining options, a spa, kids and teens club and more than 40,000 sq. ft. of flexible indoor and outdoor spaces.
