CLEARWATER BEACH, FL—Opal Sands Resort, the newest property under Ocean Properties Ltd. & Affiliates, is set to open here this month. The curved property, designed by Design Duncan Miller Ullmann, features 230 guestrooms and suites, as well as a zero-entry outdoor pool and sundeck; a state-of-the-art fitness center; full-service spa; fire pits; and retail shops.
Food & beverage options include Sea-guini, which will offer a tropical twist on seafood-centric Italian dining; and outdoor tiki bar Sandbar.
The resort will offer 25,000 sq. ft. of indoor and outdoor event space, and 5,500 sq. ft. of event lawn for elegant outdoor affairs.
Opal Sands is within walking distance from the entertainment and activity of the boardwalk and nearby island-style shopping, as well as land and water activities, tours, museums and galleries, according to Ocean Properties. It’s also located between two international airports, Tampa International and St. Petersburg-Clearwater International.
