ASHEVILLE, NC—The Omni Grove Park Inn is celebrating its 100th anniversary year with a $25 million renovation to its public spaces, meeting spaces and guestrooms.
The renovation was completed this summer in coordination with the resort’s Centennial Celebration in July.
EDISON, craft ales + kitchen, a bar and restaurant focused on local craft beer and locally sourced Southern comfort food with a modern twist, has opened. Named after frequent visitor Thomas Edison, the dining venue offers indoor and outdoor seating.
A new cocktail terrace was added adjacent to Sunset Terrace, the resort’s chophouse, to create additional seating for cocktails and small plates.
The lobby has been refreshed with new registration and concierge desks, renovated original 36-ft.-wide fireplaces and new columns featuring hand-crafted wood panels by a local artist, Rob Kleber of Earth in Home.
The 167 guestrooms in the Vanderbilt Wing have been renovated, including the Club Floor rooms. According to the company, the rooms have kept the authentic charm and character of the Inn’s Arts and Crafts style, yet are updated with a modern and light color palette.
The resort’s 55,000-sq.-ft. of meeting space has been upgraded with new technology, carpeting and furnishings. The Country Club venue also was updated and its outdoor space expanded.
In addtion, the resort’s retail spaces were redesigned.
