Jonathan M. Tisch will deliver opening remarks at the conference.

The 43rd Annual NYU International Hospitality Industry Investment Conference, hosted by the NYU School of Professional Studies Jonathan M. Tisch Center of Hospitality, will once again convene hospitality thought leaders from across the U.S. and around the globe, on-site at the New York Marriott Marquis in New York City, Nov. 7-9. It is one of the first major industry conferences to resume, as well as one of the first returning to NYC.

“As the hospitality, hotel and travel industries recover from the COVID-19 pandemic, it has become even more critical for industry professionals to gain the latest information on where we stand and where we are heading,” said Nicolas Graf, PhD, Jonathan M. Tisch Chaired Professor and associate dean of the NYU SPS Jonathan M. Tisch Center of Hospitality. “I am delighted that after convening virtually for 18 months through a variety of events designed to keep professionals abreast of developments during the pandemic, we are once again able to meet in person.”

Jonathan M. Tisch, chairman/CEO, Loews Hotels & Co. and co-chairman of the board, Loews Corporation, who serves as conference chair, will open the conference by delivering remarks on the state of the industry and by providing a preview of the content to come.

On Nov. 8, at 9:15 a.m. “The CEOs Check-In: A View from the Top,” will feature the leading hospitality executives who will discuss the evolving investment landscape and the changing consumer base, as well as how the competition is pressing them to focus their brands and differentiate their companies. Sara Eisen, anchor, “Closing Bell,” CNBC, will moderate a discussion with Keith Barr, CEO, IHG Hotels & Resorts; Sébastien Bazin, chairman/CEO, Accor; Anthony Capuano, CEO, Marriott International; Mark Hoplamazian, president/CEO, Hyatt Hotels Corporation; David Kong, president/CEO, BWH Hotel Group; and Chris Nassetta, president/CEO, Hilton.

Also on Nov. 8, at 2:00 p.m., during his annual “Beyond the Boardroom” session, Jonathan Tisch will interview Jamie Dimon, chairman/CEO, JPMorgan Chase & Co, engaging in a discussion about the complex social, political, technological and economic forces that are disrupting our world, and how this dissonance is reformulating the structure of global travel and the lodging industry.

On Nov. 9, at 11:05 a.m., David Marriott, director, board of directors, Marriott International, will host a roundtable discussion featuring Wayne A. I. Frederick, MD, president, Howard University, and Andrew Hamilton, PhD, president, New York University. They will discuss ways in which educational institutions and businesses must take deliberate steps to “Forge a New Path Toward Racial Equity in the C-Suite.”
