NEW YORK— The Empire Hotel reopened today after an extensive renovation project. Located here on the Upper West Side, the refurbishment project included its 413 guestrooms and public spaces and the addition of a pool deck on its 13th floor. Design firm Goodman Charlton oversaw the interior design of the guestrooms and public areas at the hotel, which first opened in the mid-1890s. The interiors now feature a neutral palette of ochre, cream and caramel accented with hand crafted metalwork to create a look of understated grandeur.
