DALLAS—NYLO Hotels LLC, based here, has broken ground on its sixth hotel, NYLO Nyack in Nyack, NY, which is also its second property in New York.
The 132-room hotel is slated to open Summer 2015. It will be housed in a four-story former factory, which will suit the brand’s urban, industrial style, according to the company.
The property will feature a 184-seat full-service restaurant and a 58-seat bar and lounge with both indoor and outdoor seating. Additionally, the hotel will offer a recreational bathing pool, fitness center, library, game room, business center and lobby lounge. The hotel will also feature 4,000 sq. ft. of meeting rooms, including a 2,500-sq.-ft. ballroom, as well as a music studio with a live broadcast radio booth. NYLO Nyack will feature original local artwork, as with all NYLO properties.
Guestrooms will feature NYLO’s industrial loft-style design, the NYLO NYTE mattress and custom-designed furniture.
Michael Yanko and Kerry Wellington, principals of WY Management, a boutique development house based in Nyack, are the project developers. Joseph Siegel and Hans Erdenberger, principals at Environetics Group Architects PC, are serving as architects for the 82,000-sq.-ft. project. Glen Goben of Glen & Co., based in New York City, will serve as the creative force behind the property.
“Our newest NYLO hotel in Nyack, New York, will showcase NYLO’s unique cutting edge design, complete with a local flair to fit the charming and artistic flair of Nyack,” said Mike Mueller, president and CEO of NYLO Hotels. “We are thrilled to expand the NYLO footprint into Nyack as the city’s first boutique hotel, and look forward to introducing guests and local residents to the quintessential NYLO experience.”
