NEW YORK—The New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge has unveiled Phase Two of its $45-million transformation with the redesign of its Grand Ballroom and flexible meeting space totaling more than 44,000 sq. ft.
The hotel’s renovation, which is taking place in three phases, is inspired by Brooklyn, representing layers of rich history and evolution, according to Marriott International.
At more than 18,000 sq. ft., the Grand Ballroom can accommodate more than 2,000 people for a reception. Its new look includes textured wallpaper and large-scale artwork showcasing Brooklyn photography. Carpet is inspired by the city’s grid and maps, while structured blackened steel chandeliers hang overhead with irregular crystals that scallop down to represent buildings, scaffolding and railways.
Additional venue highlights include the 3,135-sq.-ft. Northside Ballroom, which can host up to 300 people within its flexible layout.
